The Salisbury – The first 50 years – History Discovered

A booklet produced by a previous Building Manager cataloguing events in the building during the first 50 years of the last century has been discovered. The paperback has a number of fascinating facts about the building and the lives of its tenants. It was the first building in London to have lightwells and lifts and was built on the original site of the old Bethlam Hospital. That term eventually lead to the expression ‘Bedlam.’
